Women's 7-Night Surf Retreat - Costa Rica

Safari Surf School has been sharing its passion for surfing since its inception in 1999 and is still going strong! You will obviously be thrust into the Latin “culture” and introduced to the incredible spirit and vibe that is “Pura Vida”…which translates to “Pure Life”.

There is a reason that Costa Rica was voted one of the “Happiest” countries in the world and it is very evident when you meet and greet the local people.

Our town of Nosara embodies all of what makes Costa Rica the most desirable place to visit on vacation. It’s like a journey back in time…where people wave at you as you pass by and greet you with a smile, always willing to help, where old cultural ways integrate seamlessly with the new “wave” of today’s younger generation.

We have no paved roads, no street lights, monkeys still cruising in the trees in Nosara…but we do have the creature comforts we all have come to enjoy like WiFi connection, ATM access, A/C, Cable TV, shopping, etc.

The “other” culture that you will be immersed in while visiting us is the “Surf Culture”. This culture is really a mindset, a lifestyle and you will be living and breathing it the entire time you are with us in Nosara. What makes Nosara and Safari Surf so attractive to people is that everything we do revolves around the art and passion that is wave riding!

Our instructors are all very accomplished surfers with years of experience and training. They enjoy meeting new friends and making lasting friendships with all who come through our “doors”. Each instructor is extremely well trained and educated in the art of teaching surfing, safety, lifeguard skills and first aid / first response.

From Olas Verdes Resort to our surf program, Safari Surf employs 99% all local people who live and have families in Nosara. We strive for a sustainable existence in the community that we live in by educating, employing, and giving back to the local people in our community.

Ever consider joining an all girl surf vacation in a tropical paradise? Well… Safari Surf Women’s Retreat in Costa Rica is the ideal destination if you are looking for a high quality women’s surf program with all the luxury and pampering you need on vacation! This surf program is built by women, run by women, for women. Andrea Diaz (2 time Costa Rica National Champion) is your personal surf coach, mentor, and trainer for the week. She and her staff will have you surfing better than you ever thought possible if you are willing to put in the commitment, the dedication, and the passion needed to succeed. If you are looking for a “social club” type of experience and not really interested or focused on really learning to surf…this retreat is not for you.

We keep the size of our groups to no more than 8 ladies per camp to ensure the entire experience is personal and exceptional from start to finish. We’ve created a program that will have you pushing your limits each day…physically but also, mentally. This course is about empowerment for women in the water and out. Nobody said surfing was easy but Andrea and staff have created a program for your success. This women’s surf program starts from the moment you book with us. We will need you to be in “surf shape” when you arrive for your surf trip to Costa Rica! Our program will show you excellent “pre-surf trip” exercises both in and out of the water, with or without access to a surfboard. These exercises will get you in shape and ready to push your limits when you come to us! Package Inclusions:

PRIVATE ROUND TRIP

Private round trip shuttle taxiservice from Liberia (LIR) to Nosara and back. Your personal driver will be waiting for you outside of the customs area with a sign “bearing”.

(7) Nights’ luxurious stay at the Olas Verdes Hotel. You will be nestled in a Luxury Suite situated mere steps from the tropical sands of Playa Guiones in Nosara.

PRE-SURF SNACK

THREE COURSE DINNER EXTRAVAGANZA

Three Course Dinner Extravaganza dinners hosted by Andrea and / or Daniela. Four evenings you will eat at the El Manglar restaurant and three evenings we will take you out to some of the other top restaurants.

POOL SESSIONS

Pool Sessions – In this course you will have at minimum 2 pool sessions with Andrea & “Dani” working on your techniques dealing with paddling, duck dive or turtle rolling, and other essential.

VIDEO ANALYSIS

Theory & Video Analysis – you will be immersed in surf theory constantly with Andrea as she is so passionate about teaching surfing from both a technical and philosophical standpoint.

COSTA RICA WOMEN’S

Daily… for 2 hours, you will be in the ocean with 2 time Costa Rica Women’s National Masters Champ Andrea Diazand her assistance coach Daniela working on improving your surf skills.

BREATHWORK TECHNIQUES

Included in this package is your introduction to the state of the art “Breathwork” techniques by the Ocean Warrior program developed by big wave surfers Shane Dorian and Mark Visser.

YOGA SESSIONS

Three incredible Yoga Sessions to help open up your bodies muscle and memory…to rejuvenate the body and mind…more yoga sessions are on offer if you wish!

MASSAGES

Two blissful 1 hour full body Massages to help your body recover from your active; on the go surf vacation.

BIKE RENTAL

Nothing like cruising the local town on your Bike rental to expand your boundaries! Your hotel will provide access to a bicycle for you to explore the area on your free time.

ATV TOUR

Explore Nosara and the surrounding areas, head to a local waterfall or drive through the Nosara River on an incredible ATV Tour!

POWER HIKE

A “Power Hike” to get your blood flowing and also to see the glorious jungle and ocean views from some of the remote mountains in and around Nosara!

GRADUATION ROAD TRIP!

No surf course would be complete without a “Graduation Day Girls Surf Trip”! We will be whisking you away on your final day to go on a very cool journey to the South to a place called Punta Islita.
