Safari Surf School's cancellation policy requires a non-refundable deposit of 50% of package total at the time of package booking. The guest’s remaining package balance is to be paid no later than 60 days prior to the departure date and is non-refundable beyond that time. Safari Surf School, LLC reserves the right to issue a “Rain Check” for guest’s deposit and/or package cost on a case-by-case basis if the guest feels he or she may be able to visit Safari Surf School in the near future (within 12 months). However, Safari Surf will offer a “credit” in the amount of the initial deposit if notified in writing up to 90 days prior to the guests’ arrival. This credit will be good for 12 calendar months from the original guest arrival date. Any cancellation 89 days or less, Safari guests will be under their chosen hotel lodging cancellation policies. Safari Surf will provide a “credit” for up to 30 days prior to arrival for the portion of the package excluding the hotel lodging. Each lodging accommodation has their own individual cancellation policies that Safari Surf must abide by when making a reservation for our guests. Guests will be subject to their hotel policy. Any cancellation 29 days or less from the arrival date, there is no credit available. Lessons and activities that are booked are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Safari Surf strongly recommends that all guests purchase “trip insurance” to cover their travel plans and expenses. The cost is low but the peace of mind is extremely high! Safari Surf is a licensed agent for Travel Guard and would be happy to provide a free estimate upon request. HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS (DEC. 20 – JAN.5TH) “For all reservations during the holiday period there are NO refunds 90 days or less to travel dates. All holiday season reservations payments are due for full 90 days prior to arrival.”

Please note that this is a serious refuge. Holding and petting of animals is not permitted. The tour is informational and 2 hours long. You will see many animals and learn about the difficulties in keeping them safe amongst human population. Please do not ask to schedule unless you truly plan on going. It is important for the success of the refuge.
Understanding the risks of travel, surfing and all outdoor activities, I, on behalf of my family and personal representatives, agree to assume all risks and responsibilities surrounding in my participation of surf lessons and travel to Costa Rica. I release, forever discharge and waive my right to sue Safari Surf School from and against any and all liability for any harm, injury, damage, claims, demands, actions, causes of actions, costs, and expenses which may arise by my travel. I further agree that this release shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the law of the State of California, USA.

Nosara Refuge for Wildlife
Our Emergency Response Team responds to more than 200 wildlife emergencies each year and is specifically trained to deal with monkeys and other wildlife who are injured by falling from broken branches, high-voltage electrocutions, cars and attacks from other wildlife or domestic pets. The Refuge receives and treats all types of wild animals, but howler monkeys have become our specialty. Because of our expertise and experience with rehabilitating howler monkeys, we also receive monkeys that have been injured in other locations from all over Costa Rica. We are proud to work with Pack for a Purpose and are happy to donate any items that you bring with you to share with the local community. We seek out families in great need and make sure that your contribution is donated with care. Examples of needed items include: clothes, toys, art supplies, school supplies, Spanish language books, & personal care items. If you can bring any of these items with you to donate, it will be much appreciated!
